Our Tribute to The Washington Spirit
Gin, Raspberry, Elderflower, Rose Water, Lime Nuun, Clarified Lime, Cava
Make it a Tribute to Michele Kang! Upgrade to Three Societies Jung One Gin +$10

This cocktail is our toast to the Washington Spirit, currently the best team representing the DMV. The inspiration for this cocktail came out of the Spirit’s championship run in 2021 featuring a beautiful header goal from the great Kelley O’Hara. That’s why the star of the show is the balance of raspberry, elderflower, and the Spirit getting their roses. Just to stay hydrated, we added some Lime Nuun, an electrolyte drink, and to truly toast the team and their success, we added in bubbles. We’re so excited to bring this back just in time to celebrate the Spirit making the playoffs again since 2021! Make it a Tribute to Michele Kang and upgrade to the stunning Three Societies Jung One Korean Single Malt Gin. Only the best for the best!

Blueberry Basil Smash
Catoctin Creek Roundstone Rye 92 Proof, Luxardo Maraschino, Blueberry,
Lemon, Orange, Basil Bitters

This cocktail is based on a recipe from one of our first cocktails back in our delivery days in 2020 and is a fresh expression of a classic smash cocktail, which muddles in fresh fruit and served with the shaken ice. At The Bay Leaf, we strive to be a great cocktail bar that will always bring you the best classic cocktail and a great house variation, and as such, our menu will always feature a rotation of classics that either we recommend with featured spirits or are fun plays on some of the trending favorites. This one is a little of both. Plus, we love Catoctin Creek! Not only are they local, they also feature one of the leading female distillers in the region, Becky Harris. The ABV of the 92 proof plays beautifully with the sweetness of the blueberry, and pulls out fun spice notes with the basil.

Our Tribute to Mariana Pajón
Postre de Natas Clarified Milk Punch, Aguardiente Antioqueño, Chinola Mango, Adobo, Lime, Tropical Red Bull

Mariana Pajón is considered one of the legendary BMX bikers, having been nearly unstoppable between 2010 and 2016. She is one of Colombia’s best performing athletes, and was the flag bearer for Colombia at the 2012 Olympics in London where she won her first gold medal. She would go on to win gold again at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. For this cocktail, we use the technique of milk punch clarification with a milk blend featuring Postre de Natas, a Colombian custard dessert and the base spirit of Colombian Aguardiente. Lastly, since Pajón was a Red Bull athlete, we top this cocktail with Tropical Red Bull to balance out the flavor.

Our Tribute to Just Women’s Sports
Earl Grey infused Reposado Tequila, Creme de Violette, Fino Sherry, Blackberry, Orange,
Agave, Clarified Lemon, Lavender, Aquafaba
Available 0%

This cocktail pays homage to Just Women’s Sports (JWS), an organization that creates content and increases engagement around women’s sports. JWS was founded in 2020 by Haley Rosen and plays a critical role in media promotion and consumption for women’s sports in the world. To honor JWS, we created a fun cocktail because JWS continues to remind us that being a women’s sports fan is simply, fun.

The Espresso Martini of the Day
Hojicha Tea, Cold Brew, Coffee Bitters, Grand Marnier,
Asbach Coffee & Cream Liqueur, Santa Teresa Rum

This is another riff on a classic. For this Espresso Martini riff, we went with a lower ABV cocktail to truly be one of the finishing notes to the tasting menu this evening. The lightness of the tea blends with the creaminess of the Asbach Coffee & Cream Liqueur to create a London Fog feel, while the Coffee Bitters provide a layer that comes off like an extra espresso shot added in for an ultimate pick me up.
